Strategy for a future-proof organisation

Smits Vastgoedzorg advises and supports clients in successfully developing and delivering renovation and maintenance projects within the existing housing stock. To keep that sustainable development going in the near future, Smits Vastgoedzorg ran a process of strategic recalibration with Jester in four steps: analysis of the current business model, defining the strategic direction and the future business model, setting strategic priorities, and translating the strategy into concrete handles.

Alongside a number of sharp choices on customer segments, strategic partnerships and propositions, the strategy formation trajectory also led to the realisation that the sustainable development of the organisation calls for a new way of organising and steering.

At the end of each step concrete deliverables were produced: a description of the current business model (including strengths and weaknesses), the future business model based on the strategic direction, strategic priorities, and strategy maps and scorecards per department.

The result is a sharpened strategy that is broadly supported across the company, with relevant objectives and KPIs per department.
