Strategic course development

Following a change of leadership at housing corporation UWOON, much work has been done on further professionalising the organisation. Many new staff have started, and there is a new sense of momentum. That was also the moment to set out a new strategy. UWOON asked Jester Strategy to support them, in a multi-stakeholder environment, in formulating the new strategy as clearly as possible, with broad support among staff and stakeholders as a must.

To align the executive's plans with support among staff and stakeholders as far as possible, a hybrid process based on the Strategy Cube was chosen. Short, focused sessions were organised with the executive to give the plan vision and content. In parallel, broad sessions were held with up to 30 staff to build support. Extensive interviews with stakeholders also brought the outside world in.

The result is not only an inviting perspective, in particular for UWOON's tenants, but also a realistic and workable strategy for the organisation itself.
