Scenario-based strategic choices

TriviumMeulenbelt Zorg has worked hard on sharpening its multi-year strategy. To stay open to the pace at which the world is changing, four future scenarios were built with the help of more than 70 staff, (representatives of) clients and residents, volunteers and supervisors.

"Together for personal care" is the motto of TMZ, and the involvement of so many people made that very visible. The Executive Board involved everyone in full transparency and openness. With the help of the scenarios, sometimes the wildest action perspectives were proposed, which together truly underlined TMZ's uniqueness. The involvement and creativity sharpen the thinking: who is TMZ, what does it stand for, and how does it want to be known?

In the first large session, all colleagues talked in small, randomly assembled groups about trends and developments. The second session went deeper into the future scenarios that had by then been drawn up. All scenarios made one thing clear: the world is changing, and TMZ must change with it. Precisely because of that, the conversation turned to the options TMZ has to respond to the challenges hidden in each scenario.
