Refreshing a multi-year programme

Qlip is the market leader for testing, inspection and certification in the dairy sector. Developments in the sector follow each other quickly, from nitrogen to plant-based dairy. The covid pandemic also disrupted the business significantly over the past years.

Together with Jester Strategy, Qlip previously developed scenarios to think through the pending shrinkage of the dairy sector. Those scenarios created the urgency to compensate for falling revenues with new strategic initiatives.

Jester Strategy's role focused on challenging the executive and management to make sharp choices that are consistent with one another. In Jester Strategy's view, a good strategy consists of a combination of six elements: aspiration, playing field, differentiation, vehicles, economic logic and phasing. In six sessions the strategy was jointly developed, tested and made consistent.
