GCM was looking for direction to shape its next strategy. In doing so it wanted to involve both professionals from within its own organisation and members of the Supervisory Board.
Using scenario planning, GCM wanted to arrive at clear strategic choices.
Gezondheidscentra Maarssenbroek delivers integrated primary care to residents in the surrounding area. Its team is available across the GP practice, physiotherapy practice, pharmacy and midwifery practice. GCM offers complete integrated multidisciplinary care programmes for diabetes, lung disease, cardiovascular disease, elderly care, smoking cessation, and lifestyle and nutrition.
Working with the Supervisory Board
By mapping trends and developments together with colleagues and members of the Supervisory Board, relating them to one another and building scenarios on that basis, we made the future tangible. It also created a testing framework for the strategy to be developed and the trade-offs within it for the coming three years. At GCM this was done in two scenario workshops. The first was a scenario sprint with GCM staff, in which we sketched the scenarios in a day. After Jester Strategy worked them up further, a workshop with the Supervisory Board was held. During that afternoon the scenarios were sharpened and next steps for making clear strategic choices were discussed.
